In their ink-black world, the word love was not to be thrown around carelessly. It couldn’t be said by a mother to her child, or a sister to a brother. It had to be said as one would say it to a person of the opposite sex. It had to be said as the romantic type of love. This was to ensure that those gone mad from being loved back would not cause chaos in their unbalanced world.

Unfortunately, a young girl name Rin Kagamine made the tragic mistake of saying ‘I love you, too’ in the way a sister would say to a brother to two men who had confessed their love for her.

Thus, she unconsciously drove those two men to insanity.

They couldn’t evem accept that she had left them forever.

And that’s why her twin brother now stood in front of the two men, bearing her name.

“Kaito, Gakupo. I’m glad to see you two are still doing well and waited for me patiently while I was gone,” the twin said, mimicking his sister’s voice perfectly. He picked up the hem of his black dress and curtsied.

“We would never abandon you, my princess,” the purple-haired man, Gakupo, said, taking “her” gloved hand and kissing it.

“As he said, my dear,” Kaito murmured, reflecting Gakupo’s action.

“Tell me, Rin, where did your brother Len disappear to?”

Len smiled. “Oh, he’s doing something for me at current. He won’t be back for some time.” Len smiled, knowing he had perfected using his sister’s smile by the looks on Gakupo’s and Kaito’s faces. The imitator looked to his side to see a green-haired beauty staring at the trio. “Ah, Miku, there you are. Do you need something?”

“Rin, I believe it’s time we left. The doctor needs to see you,” Miku answered, clutching the doorframe, fear evident in her green eyes.

“Okay. I’ll see you two boys at practice.” Len gave them another of Rin’s charming smiles and curtsied once more before walking towards Miku. He quickly took her hand and pulled her out of the room, which had gained a scary aura ever since Miku had entered.

Once they were far from the area, the green-haired girl said, “Len, are you sure about this?”

“If I wasn’t, would I be wearing this dress?”

“That’s not what I meant. What I mean is, are you prepared to deal with both Kaito and Gakupo when you tell them the truth?”

Len sighed. “I don’t know. All I do know is I have to repair the damage Rin has done before it’s too late. Those two need closure, and I’m the only one who can bring it.”

Miku gulped. “All right, Len. Whatever you want.” She led him into his dressing room. “Now, we better get you out of this dress.”

“Eh. Why?”

“Someone needs to see you about the will,” Miku whispered, unbuttoning the back of Len’s dress.

“Oh. . .the will. . .” Len looked down as he pulled up a pair of black pants. Miku handed him a white button-up shirt and he took it gingerly. When he had the shirt all the way buttoned up, Miku flung her arms around him.

“I’m sorry. I just couldn’t stand that sad look in your eyes.” She released her arms from him and grinned. He nodded his understanding and pulled his hair into a ponytail as Miku grabbed her car keys. Len speedily stepped into the car and stared at himself in the rearview mirror while Miku started up the car.

Only one phrase repeated in his mind as blue eyes looked back at him in the mirror.

“Imitation is the only way to save them.”
